Being twinned with Ottawa is an advantage a production can actually use. Two markets, two languages, one river crossing between them, and a single call sheet that covers both. Hospitality and local services are where that shows up most: the same dish, the same room, one film for a francophone clientele and one for the crowd coming over the bridge.

Gatineau is the Québec side of the river, and it works in French. The plateau, Hull, Aylmer and the villages further into the Outaouais have their own restaurant rooms, their own festivals and their own way of speaking to their public, and none of it should sound like a Toronto script read out loud in translation.
We direct here in French, write in French, and only then build the English version when a project needs one, which it often does because the audience is a bridge away. A single production day can hold a Gatineau restaurant in the morning and an Ottawa office in the afternoon without doubling anything.

Oui. La direction sur le plateau, les questions d'entrevue et les échanges avec votre équipe se font en français, et les textes sont écrits en français plutôt que traduits. Vos employés devant la caméra parlent dans leur langue, ce qui s'entend au montage.
Can a shoot cover both Gatineau and Ottawa in the same production day?

Yes, and we plan it that way when both sides matter. The two downtowns are a bridge apart, so one call sheet splits the day between them. What we watch is the light: whichever location depends on daylight gets the better half of the schedule.
Do the deliverables come in French and English?

They can. From one shoot we build a French version and an English one, each with its own titles, captions and voice, rather than sticking English subtitles on the French cut and calling it bilingual.
Do you travel beyond the city into the rest of the Outaouais?

Yes. Hull, Aylmer, Buckingham and the smaller communities around them are all reachable within a production day. For locations further out we look at the drive and the daylight together before committing to a date.
We run a community event. What do you need from us beforehand?

The run of show, the moments that must be captured, who can be filmed and who cannot, and a contact on site who can get us where we need to be. With that in hand we cover an event without becoming part of it.
